We had the opportunity to try out the Exergen TemporalScanner ($50) on the behalf of Exergen and Family Review Network . The Exergen TemporalScanner is the most gentle thermometer available. It is more accurate than the traditional thermometer.

My son hasn't been sick, which is always a good thing. However, I used this device to measure his temperature when I first received this to understand how to use this when I do need it. Not only it provides accurate results, but it is very easy to use! All you have to do is place the Exergen TemporalScanner over the center of the forehead while pressing down on the scan button for a couple of seconds. The soft beeping noise and red flashing lights will indicate that it is working. Then, you can release the scan button and see the results displayed on the screen. Tip: Don't forget to take the protective covering off before doing all of this.

I can see why it is used in premier hospitals. It is also highly recommended by pediatricians. And guess what? It is....

Earth Hour Reminder - Turn Off Your Lights!

Earth Hour is one hour each year when everyone is encouraged to turn off your lights, literally. The World Wildlife Fund for Nature instituted this international event to raise awareness of the need for the whole world to work together to take action against climate change.



The WWF encourages households and businesses to turn off all non-essiential lights and appliances for one hour - you can do that! This hour usually takes place the last Saturday in March and, this year, will take place on March 28th from 8:30-9:30 p.m. local time. 2008 was the first year that this event achieved worldwide participation, uniting all countries with one goal: preserving our limited resources.

Molly Sims 'Dials' Up Her Fashion Profile for a Berry Good Cause

I wasn't for sure what a hibiscus would taste like, but after having the opportunity to try 3 flavors, I'd have to say it is really good! I was a bit surprised that it wasn't bland like most health drinks are. It had the right amount of sweetness. By the way, the sweetness comes from pure cane sugar. I thought the Hibiscus & Orange would be my least favorite, but it actually turned out to be my favorite and I'm not usually not into orange flavored beverages. I loved the other flavors as well, the Hibiscus & Lime and the Original Hibiscus. I didn't dislike anything about OOBA. I look forward to trying out other flavors in the future.

Review: Brothers All Natural Fruit Crisps

Review: After seeing several people flock to our blog in search of information on Brothers All Natural, I decided it was time to see what we were missing out on! These healthy vegan snacks do not contain anything artificial - no added sweeteners, colors or flavors. They are also 100% natural and fat free. To top it off, they come in 7 delicious flavors: Banana, White & Yellow Peach, Strawberry, Pineapple, Asian Pear, Strawberry-Banana and Fuji Apple. We had the opportunity to sample to sample all flavors! I was very pleased that my son liked these so well. He seem to be very fond of the Fuji Apple and Banana. My favorite was the Strawberry. Personally, I never tried freeze dried strawberries. So this was a new and delectable experience for me. I was a bit disappointed that the bags were so small, but I've learned that the texture changes when exposed to air more 40 minutes. Hmmm, we learn something new everyday!

While I'll admit that I don't really like chips, they also carry Potato Crisps in 4 different flavors: Szechuan Pepper & Fresh Chives, Original With Sea Salt, Black Pepper & Sea Salt and Fresh Onion & Garlic.

Review: I received the Energizer Battery 15-Minute Charger ($32.99) to try out and review on the behalf of Energizer and Lille Punkin' Reviews. For someone like me who is trying to be eco friendly as possible, this couldn't have come at a better time! I really liked the first battery charger that I had. However, it didn't seem to be charging batteries as good anymore. So I decided to chuck it. I like this battery charger much better though, especially since it just takes 15 minutes to charge batteries. It uses energy from a power outlet in your (car adaptor included) or AC wall outlet.

This battery charger was much needed in this household since my son has a plethora of toys that requires batteries. I also have a battery hog of a keyboard. Prior to receiving this battery charger, I was having to replace the batteries in the keyboard about every week - not so budget friendly! With this battery charger, it is no longer needed for me to make run to store and buy batteries.

Even though they indicate that this is ideal for the new parent, I'm not exactly a new parent and I find this invention very handy. This is ideal for anyone, because it is very helpful in most common emergencies: CPR, poisoning, seizures, bleeding, allergic reactions, burns, bone injury, etc. Even though I haven't been able to use it for an emergency situation, which is a good thing, I keep it in my son's diaper bag at all times. It is also portable enough to fit in a stroller, purse, briefcase or glove box.
