I had almost forgotten how fun crafts can be until I received the Garden of Flowers Kit ($24.99) from The Kit Place. This kit includes a ceramic pot, mini pine tree seeds, acrylic paint, a stencil, paper and patterns for various flowers, stem wire and ideas for making your flower and pot. It is a great way to "spruce" up a rainy day! I made a couple of flowers somewhat similar to the two shown in the picture above, but I got really creative on one and used a butterfly instead of a flower.
This kit is ideal for ages 6 and up, but you can still have fun with this kit with a toddler with careful supervision. Your child will learn how to make paper flowers, put them on paper wire stems and "plant" them in pots they have painted themselves to have an everlasting memory of the time spent.
